Add Tip Ask Question Comment Download Step 1: Things You Need These are the following things you need for this instructables : Arduino uno Ds1307 rtc module Jumper wires 3. Data from various registers can be read by accessing their addresses for reading using I2C communication. Could someone help me understanding how to use the clock to send a signal to the LED each minute reading the RTC (or any outPin) ?Įxample: 14,03,25,02,13,55,10 2014.03. DS1307 is an RTC which works on I2C protocol. I tried the following sketch first, it sucessfully blinks the LED each second but I feel that the 1s delay is done by the arduino rather than the RTC (I may be wrong). I succeeded sending a signal to the relay each minute using internal Arduino clock and a delay loop but I would like to use an RTC to improve accuracy. I have little experience in Arduino programming and trying to pilot an old electric clock with it.
